I was in Los Angeles on work, staying at Magdalena's Lodge, and that is how I met Paz. I had left the BRIGHTBLACK MORNING LIGHT album playing and I come into the room and Paz is sitting there intently listening. She turns to me and says "This is me playing... I haven't heard it in years." This long hair beauty is one mean bass player and has continued to do so with her new band THE ENTRANCE BAND.
I can't tell you how many times I've listened to that album, and I had no idea it was her.It's always a pleasure to meet the musicians you listen to and love. The album's slow psychedelic music has been a life saver on international flights and for getting in between the sheets ; )
Paz and Magda met while touring at SXSW this last year, Paz with THE ENTRANCE BAND, and Magda with GREEN AND WOOD. The three of us were girl power to the max, taking the world by storm. We ended the visit with a 12 person dinner and a all night dance party with a vinyl playlist. One for the books.
