Larry Sultan 1946-2009
I had the great pleasure of working with Larry Sultan and each time was a breath of fresh air. I was always fascinated how he spoke with such intrigue about the subjects he was shooting or looking forward to. The last time I saw him we were waiting for files of Gov. Newson to backup to a drive so he could take them home. He lit a cigarette and just started chatting. We sat there for a while going back and forth on a bench in the middle of downtown SF and I walked away feeling incredibly fortunate to have had the experience. These images are some of my favorite.
