I've been snowboarding for the last decade. The first snowfall is a highly anticipated moment of the year. This winter will be different from the others because this year I will be living in Truckee and photographing the development of the town, resorts and roads while setting up the Tahoe chapter of the Snowrider Project. This project will be my act of engagement in the things I value the most; photography, beer drinking, snowboarding, and gettin' back down to the basics, while reminding those who have forgotten to appreciate the sport and the land it is home to. These images were taken at the beginning of the month in Truckee, California.
